B.A Painting, M.A Drawing, M.A Printmaking
I see my work as an observation on the temporal nature of mark making. That is, I explore themes on the nature of time and its influence over making and unmaking surfaces. My processes reflect my fascination with the interplay between decay and creation and their role in the construction an ugly beautiful aesthetic. I subject my pieces to a series of techniques that engage elements of light, heat, moisture, stains, and force, to capture the inexorable movement of time and change.
